Chateau Khashmi
Chateau Khashmi family winery is located in the Khashmi village, making four distinctive wines, including: Rkatsiteli, Rkatsiteli Rose, Kisi and Khashmi’s Saperavi. Some fruit is grown at the family vineyard and some is being sourced from several organic vineyards in the region.
During the harvest, the grapes are hand-picked and sorted to prevent any imperfections. The grape juice is not pressed, allowing for the free-run wines to find their way into Qvevri, where the wines ferment and age based on the Georgian traditional method. Wine is bottled without filtration upon maturation.
Currently, Chateau Khashmi has the following wines available: Saperavi (2016, 2017), Kisi (2016, 2017), Rkatsiteli (2016, 2017), Khikhvi 2017, Kakhuri Mtsvane 2017.
